Which is a very simple yet profound truth!

I am reminded all the time about this in some way or another.
People tell me what they think about things. People tell me what the think of others sometimes. And people definitely tell me what they think about themselves.

It is an amazing thing this whole thinking thing…
The brain with its composition of mostly fat, water and electrical impulses, is extremely powerful.
Get the right combination of the above and you can split an atom or invent human flight. Get the wrong combination and you can seemingly ship wreck your life very quickly.

So what do we do?
Can you control fat, water and electricity?

One thing you can try is to take some hints from the ultimate thinking changer...the Bible. It gives me hope that I can change my thinking.

It says things like…
...train yourself to be godly. 1 Timothy 4:7
...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8

Peter said in one of his letters published as part of the Bible ...I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. 2 Peter 3:1

The point really here is this:
If you want your thinking to change you need to train or stimulate your thinking with something better.
For me that is very simply training my thinking with someone else’s thinking that is way better than what I can come up on my own. For me that is with God!
What God thinks about me, says about me, and speaks all around me has got to be my first port of call. I am training my thinking with God’s thoughts through His Word. Little by little I am letting His thoughts become my thoughts. I am trying to do it each day.
I take it that seriously. I think you should too...
It is worth it I think
