I challenged myself over easter this year.
No, not to cut my chocolate consumption.
No, not to deny myself the simple things that I enjoy as some sort of religious observance.
No, I simply decided to make sure the season impacted me.

I have lived through lots of easters in my lifetime.
And with anything that you have experienced a lot, it can sometimes lose its meaning or impact in some way.
But I do not want easter to lose impact or meaning in my life. The whole story is what our faith is based upon.
If you take easter out, then you take everything that was the climax of Jesus life on earth away.
We lose that defining moment where Gods plan played out in bridging the gap between heaven and earth, in the most dramatic of ways.

As part of making sure I got the easter season a fresh into my life...I read the gospel accounts again...I came to church...I prayed about it...I listened to preachers from other parts of the world...
I don’t think you can od on this event!

My question for you today is…
Does our faith make sense to you?

I have been thinking about it over the last day.
And came to the realization that it can never make sense unless you dive bomb your way into it.
Unless you make this Jesus everything...
Unless Jesus becomes your biggest priority...
You will always have some struggle with this faith we
profess.

Jesus even put it this way...
"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
Matthew 13:44-46

The thing with God is that what you think you might lose for his sake is by far covered by what you gain.
Another guy says it so well…
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Philippians 1:21

So this ‘post’ easter…
Can I encourage you to give God your all?
Take on board all that God has for you.
Give your all for him no matter what the cost.
One of the needs I think he meets in your life if you let him, is that it will make sense to you.
And my God will meet all your needs according to his
glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

Just something to think about…
